This 5 billion pound project is a 25km tunnel running from west to east London. This is largely under the route of the River Thames. The Thames Tideway Tunnel is a deep-level sewer along the tidal section of the River Thames in London, running 25 kilometres from Acton in the west to Abbey Mills in the east, where it joins the Lee Tunnel which connects to Beckton Sewage Treatment Works.

London relies on a 150-year-old sewer system built for a population less than half its current size. As a result, millions of tonnes of raw sewage spills, untreated, into the River Thames each year. That is where the Tideway Tunnel will step in.
For the Tideway Tunnel project, UBS supplied a 12/30 hoist system, ensuring efficient material transport for the construction of the 25km Super Sewer beneath the Thames. This vital infrastructure project aims to intercept wastewater spills and clean up the river for the benefit of the city, its wildlife, and residents. UBS also provided a free-standing Tri Mast hoist, reaching up to 75 meters, to support the project's needs. Additionally, a D Gate serving bridge was supplied to serve one floor, facilitating smooth operations and contributing to the successful delivery of this significant environmental project.
