Located next to Canary Wharf in London’s docklands, Pan Peninsula sets a new standard in international high-rise luxury living.
This marked the second high-rise project where Ballymore relied on the high-rise hoisting expertise of UBS. A compact common tower was selected, with three high-speed hoists attached to serve both towers. The common towers were designed to minimise the amount of cladding left off the building during the construction phase while providing access to the floors as the building stepped back at the upper levels.
UBS supplied state-of-the-art hoisting solutions for each tower, ensuring efficiency and safety throughout the construction process. The hoists provided included two 2800kg high-speed passenger/material hoists with a lifting speed of 90 metres per minute, offering rapid and reliable vertical transportation of both workers and materials. In addition to these, a single 3200kg passenger/material hoist was installed, capable of handling larger loads with ease, making it ideal for heavy-duty construction demands.
These high-performance hoists were essential for streamlining operations on the Ballymore project, enabling swift movement across multiple levels of the 40- and 50-storey towers. UBS's expertise in supplying and installing these specialised hoisting systems ensured minimal downtime, maximised efficiency, and contributed to the overall success of the high-rise development.
By providing these advanced hoists, UBS demonstrated its ability to deliver tailored solutions for large-scale construction projects, further cementing its reputation as a leader in hoist hire services across London and other major UK cities.
