The East Road development in central London, funded by UBS Asset Management Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) alongside development partners BSW Land and Property and The Pickstock Group, will feature a 17-storey volumetric modular Motel One Group 4* hotel above five floors of premium office space. UBS Hoists and Access were Elements Europe chosen Hoist & Access partners.
UBS Hoist & Access played a pivotal role in the project, supplying two single Passenger Goods Hoists and a UBS Common Tower to support construction activities across 21 floors. The hoists and tower were integrated into a modular system, ensuring stability, efficiency, and seamless access throughout the build. These solutions not only enhanced operational efficiency but also aligned with the project’s sustainability goals. By reducing embodied and operational carbon, minimising waste, and improving fabric-first insulation performance, the scheme sets a benchmark for environmentally conscious construction. The office space is designed to achieve an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM certification, further highlighting its commitment to sustainability.
